The Orleans-Hanna Algebra Prognosis Test, Third Edition, confirms teachers’ opinions about students’ readiness for algebra. Problem-solving items reflect NCLB Standards. Consistent with the Algebra Curriculum Problem-solving items reflect the algebra curriculum. The items cover algebraic topics such as exponents, integers, and algebraic expressions. Lessons include graphs and charts for students to use in problem solving. A sixth lesson review assesses general middle-school mathematics objectives.
OLSAT 8 has new norms achieved through representative standardization samples. Furthermore, specialized statistical procedures and a comprehensive review of all test items by a panel of minority-group educators helped minimize ethnic, gender, cultural, or regional bias on the new OLSAT.
